Vibes for Jelly please Empty Re: Vibes for Jelly please

Post by SarahJane Tue Jul 27, 2010 8:24 pm

sorry i did that post on my iphone so it was very short. No, they said they have no space to take her overnight, and i said i had metacam at home so they said to give that to her and take her in at 8:30 tomorow morning.

I didnt argue because the vet i really dislike was on, and if i go tomorrow i see a brilliant vet calld Nicole, so i didnt argue. She has since nibbled some mint leaves very gingerly so thats positive, but isnt interested her food.

Jelly has episodes every now and then when she does this and then within a few hours picks up, so were not overly worried because it could be that. I guess if im honest if it was my other two id be panicking butJelly does this often ad with a little tummy rub she picks up.

i think she needs a dental though, so im not holding out on it.

Any ideas why she will only eat mint?

I am never going to understand this. She was looking so uncomfortable earlier, and wouldnt eat anything, not a thing, i tried her normal pellets, hay, dried grass, parsley, mint, basil, everything.

She was hiding under a bed and let the other two eat thedinner which she NEVER does, she was all quiet and hidden. definatly not happy.

a few hours later - shes scoffed the lot. Rolling Eyes

Bunnies. who'd have them?

Im going to take her to the vet tomorrow night if shes not completly normal tomorrow, but im not rushing her up there in the mornign strugglng on crutches if she seems okay, ill take her up when mum gets back from work

Phew!, maybe she had tummy ache, if you gave her the metacam then maybe that relieved her pain, mint is soothing for pain, I take it for indegesion, so maybe that's why she wanted that, have you any dandelions?, they would be good to give her because they will work on the guts as well, hope she is OK, keep a close eye, good luck

i do normally have some but theres none at the moment, she is scoffing the mint though. mums "i told you she was fine" i was like she WASNT fine!

Bless her, maybe her teeth are playing her up. If she does it again ill take her straight down and get them to have a look, shes due a check up in 2 weeks so if she acts normal til then ill wait, if she does this again il just take her straight down.

it might be the weather because she has had stasis twice when theres been storms before, it really unsettled her i have no idea why becauseshe has no fear of anything!

oh bunnies, why do we love you so?!?!

Blimey! There is nothing like Bunny Worry!!!! Why do they do it to us?

Im really really pleased she is eating again - little monkey. Perhaps like Snowy said the mint and metacam have relieved any pain she might have been in.

Sending more vibes that she continues to improve. Give her a nose rub from me. x x x x

Well, if im honest, Jelly and Domino or Domino and Pebbles would be happier than this trio as it is now. Theyve been together almost a year and sometimes are loved up, and sometimes get on well, but Pebbles would be much happier in a twosome, i can tell. She gets chased alot, and jelly will chase her out of her digging box/pile of hay/hidey, if she wants it.

So dont use my lot as an example! they get onf ine enough to be a trio, and domino loves it, but pebbles. not so much!

I think it was ingesting too much fur instead of teeth, i found lots of stringy poos afterwards and she grooms domino and herself all the time, so i think that was the problem!
