Robbie the Robin.

When I am out in the garden I always carry a few suet pellets with me and whistle Robbie the Robin who is actually a girl I think and has a nest as she look's like a busy Mum who has been feeding young and in the process let herself go a bit.
This afternoon I have been sweeping up the driveway and tidying it up and I whistled Robbie and sure enough she appeared on the ground near me.

I whistled her again and she flew on the hose pipe reel.


and I walked straight up to her and took a photo and put some suet pellets under a tree for her which she ate.

lovely pics. we used to have one at the stables he would fly onto your hand to feed. We called him Riki.

The last photo is amazing. To get so close. They are the most amazing little birds.
