Fight broke out.

A fight broke out last night in the group so I have had to seperate them again. Saphie and indie were the ones fighting but while they were so stressed they went on the rampage and everyone apart from taffie has bites. So much so I have noted where they are so I can keep an eye on them. Zack has a nip right through the ear but its pink sealed and clear, peanut has the same and one on her jaw. Jeff has 3 old ones which may have been from cookie who wasnt in with them but they have wee bruises and indie and saphie has a few. Mrs moo has one on her bum so shes got in the way too but hers might ulcerate. The only one I think I might have trouble with is mrs moos. Is there any antibiotic creams to try, if it worsens she will see a vet but just now its more trying to avoid it going bad. I have spent a couple of hours grooming them out, checking them and kissing them all better which seems to have helped lol. They are all cosy, cleaned and seperate for good now.

Oh dear, poor Mrs Moo. YOu can use Sudocrem, the baby nappy cream. I would take her anyway, as a precaution, cause she may get an infection, which are harder to treat afterwards.

All seem happy and settle in their old groups again. Still needing hugs n kisses though lol

I would clean it twice a day with warm salt water or sterile saline and cotton wool, this may mean you need to clip the surrounding fur away to keep it clean and dry.

If it's deeper than the subcutaneous skin layers it will probably be wise to take her to the vets for some antibiotics though.

Sorry to hear this, how stressfull! There must be something in the air, willow and felix have had a fall out, it started over their veg, a bit of chasing, stamping and barging into each other, no teeth or claws just lots of attitude- willow always gets the blame if i see a bit of fur in the run, but it was felix who started it yesterday. Im just sat with them while they eat their pellets from the same bowl and they are a bit pushy with each other even though its a big bowl. Little monkeys - oh and looks like willow wont groom felix- oh the joy!

No need to worry about mrs moo her wound is already smaller. I think it was wider rather than deep. Saphies cute need cleaned tonights but the others are all healing.
