My new hamster habitat. Empty My new hamster habitat.

Now that I live in my own place I can use up as much room as I want for my hamsters, which are still my number 1 favorite pets of all times.
So I set up something massive, it might seem completly crazy but to me it's fantastic.

I'm making the lid this weekend with my uncle who is very crafty.
And I still need to buy more hideouts, rocks, ceramic accessories, ect to decorate it a bit more, but apart from that it's ready.

It has about 1025 square inches of floorspace (1m64 long and 50cm wide), the recommended minimum for a hamster being 360 square inches, and I'll only have one Syrian hamster living in there, so it's a great size.

Please tell me what you think! Smile

That is amazing! Hamsters are wonderful little creatures. We had two Roborovski hamsters who would have loved that, although I wouldn't have fancied the wooden wheel as they always peed in theirs Rolling Eyes

Thanks alot everyone!
It looks pretty neat in my room, my bed is right next to it so I can see the whole setup from there and it's very relaxing. Smile

It's not that impressive really, compared to what others have done.

One of my friends from the hamster forum, Tina, made this for example:

My new hamster habitat. 5181058633_6df176069c_z

She has live plants and diferent types of substrates, and lots of beautiful things in there, now that's impressive.
With time I hope that mine will look as good as that. x)
