Finally finished my massive hamster habitat project!

I finally managed to make the lid to the IKEA hamster habitat after a bit of trouble because of the wood we bought and the mesures of the vitrine (long story, phew).

BUT IT'S DONE! It's nicely heavy and solid, since I mainly keep Syrian hamsters, which are large and strong, this was the main challenge (to find sturdy enough wire without it being too thick, ect...) .
It looks pretty neat too, not painted for now, but I actually like the natural color, so I'm not too sure if I want to paint it black anymore, I'll think about it.
And of course it's 100% safe, both for the hamster and for me.

I also made a digging area inside, where I added a thicker layer of hemp bedding and mixed it with hay, Neu loves it so far!
I made it so the triangle house's entrance is at the top and the side with no walls is against the glass, so that I can see the hamster when he's inside. Razz
