So I Was Thinking.
That in a few weeks time I am going to get Alaska & Ryleigh Blayze spayed/neutered. Upon successful castration and fully healed I will start bonding these 2 together. Sound like a plan? Once successfully bonded (wishful thinking) I will get them an extra large dog crate and attach a nice pen to it so they have lots of space to roam. Does this sound like a good idea?

Our humans have found it easiest if the bunnies are put together while they are still under the influence and in a neutral environment

Oohh this is so exciting!! I hope it goes wellll...do it do it do it!! Can't wait to see them all snuggled up together. If they don't get on, you could always try them with one of your other buns when you get them neutered ^_^

Re: So I Was Thinking.
The challenge will be Hazel because she is one feisty little lady! Ryleigh is incredibly laid back and won't care in the slightest but Alaska well hopefully after a spay she will be ok but I have had her out before when I was holding Paris and she lunged at her, Paris however just wondered off not giving a damn

I wouldnt let feisty personalities put you off, Jelly can/used to be a right little madam in her youth, but was never anything but sweet and loving towards other buns, and the aggression before is more likely referred aggression and it wasnt neutral territory, they always suprise you,, i think its a fab idea. x

I agree with SJ...I don't know if you remember but Luna was a right terror when I first joined here. She's still a little stroppy madam with Thistle sometimes (there can be times when she tells him off by grunting ha ha )..but she loves him to pieces...She often cleans him head to toe when he is all stretched out asleep..even his bottom But most of the time she pretends she's in charge . Neutering will calm down their hormones, even though it takes time and even if they are feisty towards one bun they may totally fall for another

I'm predicing Alaska may be the boss out of Ryleigh & Alaska but you never know I may be surprised and find Ryleigh to be the boss, he's far too laid back though to be honest.

Re: So I Was Thinking.
To go with the extra large dog crate for the buns do you think having this attached to it would be good also http://www.petplanet.co.uk/product.asp?dept_id=774&pf_id=57842
Sorry using this also as a list of things they are going to have in their also

I misread that I think..... I read it as the humans find it easier to bond bunnies if the humans are under the influence (of alcohol) It would certainly take the stress out of it on the human part
Velvet Tears, that sounds like a lovely plan

Briliiant I will have that attached then, in effect it would be a little less work for me having bonded bunnies because at present I have 7 cages to clean and they only get a couple of hours each per day to free roam as they have to be out seperate but with 2 or 3 sets of bonded bunnies then there will be only 4 things to clean plus they will have longer each to play everyday free roam, i'm keeping Paris on her own, she's too old now and likes being on her own, she's a Mummy's girl, much happier being with me than another bunny but the rest will be bonded, I might have Romeo with Hazel & Rudy with Holly so I will have my 2 nethies together. Hazel has a thing for Romeo, she always has, goes bonkers when he goes near her.

Re: So I Was Thinking.
It's so sweet, I'm really excited for you. I found it quite stressful having two unbonded bunnies in the same place, so I know where you are coming from. It is so much easier having them together! Will be great, when do you think you can start to get the ball rolling so to speak?

Re: So I Was Thinking.
I am going to get Holly & Rudy done first as Holly is 4 so it would be better to get her done first along with Rudy and that will be in about 2 or 3 weeks
