Myxi vaccination and antibiotics
I know when a rabbit is poorly, we don't recommend that they have their vaccinations at the time. However, Domino has been fine, hes foot was sore and i thought it was an abscess but it wasn't.
He had his vaccination on Wednesday, and by thursday he had one abscess, and now he has two. Will this have anything to do with him having the vaccine?! I know that sounds silly but im just thinking, they were so close together and we wouldn't recommend it if the abscess was there the day before.
just worrying I have made things worse here.

Sorry I misread that. I dont think it will be related but I would be wondering, too. Have you mentioned to the vet? Maybe it weakened his immune system a little? Hmmm....X

Re: Myxi vaccination and antibiotics
It's possible SJ, if his body was working at fighting the infection in the abscess area the introduction of another 'disease' would have caused his immune system to be split between the two, which may have led to a dip in the immune response that was holding the original infection at bay.
There was no reason for you to suspect that might have been the case though, if there was no obvious sign of infection before his vaccination.

This is something I'm worrying about. Milly and Molly's vaccines are due soon and Molly is still delicate. She has no obvious signs of infection right now, but who knows what's lurking in the body. I don't know whether to just get the vaccines over and done with, or leave them for a bit.

Re: Myxi vaccination and antibiotics
Dominos was due in May and he only had it yesterday, in my head I think if they have had myxi every 6 months since they were old enough, they will have built up a certain amount of immunity anyway, so it seemed less risk not to vaccinate for the time being. whether thats right or wrong i dont know, but his feet are so sore today and they were nothing like this on tuesday
