Cost of VHD vaccination

How much do you pay for VHD?

I took Bella and Tarquin to the vet yesterday for theirs and can't work out if I've been "done". The bill came to £40 something (can't remember the pence bit) for two VHD vaccinations. The bill thing doesn't help as it appears as though there was a balance outstanding which there shouldn't be as I always settle in full, but I don't know if it's because he put the bill through wrong so it may have been an adjustment so that he could start again. And it says there was a discount because of them having had their Myxi, so £40 seems quite expensive.

I suppose I should just ring up and check it out but I hate having to do that.

Evo's last VHD was £17 something.

i would ring and check. i know what you mean about not wanting to do it but is a lot easier over the phone. you could just call and be anonymous and ask how much they charge for single vaccs and then myxi/vhd combined then you can see if you have over paid?

I pay £18 each

Thanks. I'll ring in the morning. It's not that I mind paying - I couldn't not have them vaccinated - but it seemed a lot when it was the discounted ones - or should have been.

It's weird - my job involves ringing people all the time - but if I have to ring for something personal I just turn into a nervous wreck

There may be a consultation fee on top of what you were charged for the actual vaccination.

i pay £18-19. what did they say when you rang? i have done it before coz often they don't give you an itemised bill (i ask for one now) so they tell you an amount and you walk off thinking is that right? so i have gone home and then phoned up and said how much for this and that.

Just seeing this thread I've realised I've forgotten to ring I'm not kidding, my memory is getting worse and I'm slightly worried about it

I'm definitely going to query it though, so hopefully I'll ring tomorrow (will put a reminder on my phone - that's the only way I remember to do anything these days, though if I don't then put exactly what the reminder is for, I get the reminder and can't remember why ).

£25 a go for me. Rip off!

I pay £11 per vaccination for both myxi and vhd.
