Grace's new indoor hutch. Empty Grace's new indoor hutch.

We have noticed that Grace our old girl has not been using her hooded litter trays but instead the flat green potting tray that we use as litter trays for our disabled buns and older ones. We have also noticed that she is reluctant to go into her indoor home at night and we have now realised that it must be her arthritis as she was rather stiff in her old back legs this morning and to get into her indoor home she had to get on a little step that Mike had made her and we think it maybe to high for her now, so we have took her hooded litter tray away and given her another flat potting tray to use and Mike has been out and bought her a new rabbit hutch which when he has cut more of the legs off will be a lot easier for her to get into, Grace only sleep's in her indoor home overnight as she is free range during the day, plus it will be a lot warmer in the cold North Yorkshire Winters , she hasn't seen it yet as she is still sat in the lounge in her potting tray Smile
We are going to up her dostage of Metacam from tomorrow.

I'd say that looks a fine home for her at night! Buttons has similar as he is also free in the lounge all day! It gives them a cost little safe heaven! When buttons is sleepy in the day he likes to hop in his cage and sleep there instead of anywhere else!! It's his little safety retreat! He goes mental when I remove his cage to clean it!! Laughing

'Thanks everyone' Smile
Grace struggled a bit to get in in last night when it was time for bed so Mike is going to take a bit off the legs of the hutch tonight she loves her big potting tray in the lounge and was sat in it eating hay . We just want her to be comfortable as she has been such a wonderful gentle bunny who came to us after having a bad start and she was pregnant and had 5 babies which we kept and she was an amazing Mother to them Smile

Could you use an old bit of wood as steps she could go up for her into the hutch?
