Fussy Henrietta Hedgehog!
Henrietta usually has Chapelwood hedgehog food with mixed fruit from pets@Home but they have stopped doing the bag with the fruit in and now they just sell the one with dried banana bits and so she is only eating the dried banana now and leaving the rest and making her way across the driveway to eat the feral cat's food.
So Mike has got some 'Spikes Dinner' treats today and we are hoping she will like it as it's ok for her to steal a little bit of cat food when it's chicken or beef but we also feed the cat on fish and hedgehogs can not have fish as it upsets their tummies.
I think Henrietta is a spoilt hedgehog now so hope it does what it says on the bag and keeps her happy

Fussy girl! She certainly knows the right to pull her fussy stunt in doesn't she. Do you think there is a website sending hungry hedgehogs to your house?

Re: Fussy Henrietta Hedgehog!
This time of year it's important that Henrietta gets plenty of food to build up her weight for hibernation, but I don't need to tell you that Maysie. It's not very thoughtful of the suplier to stop the brand she likes at this crucial time of year.
I miss the visits of Old-Log-The Hog.... he used to visit regularly for 2yrs but then one spring he never showed up. I used to love listening to him slurping and burping. They are second only to badgers in table manners, or lack thereof.

Re: Fussy Henrietta Hedgehog!
I live quite close to a Hedgehog Rescue and once got cornered on a bus by the woman who runs it... after half an hour I'd learned quite a lot about hedgehogs.
My local pet shop sells Spike, which I believe was the first urchin food on the market.

Re: Fussy Henrietta Hedgehog!
Can you believe it the feral cat has eaten the cat food and Henrietta's food
the Chapelwood food has something in it that cat's don't like and so they don't touch it.
