To anyone who knows about fibreplex
As you probably already know, Thumper is having upset tummys now and again. Once or twice a week.
I was given fibreplex by the vet but I'm only giving her it when I see sticky poos. Usually I will give her 1 dose twice a day when I see sticky poos and it clears it up.
I'm not going to mess her up giving her it on and off am I? Is it ok for long term on-and-off use?
I phoned up the vets and asked for it and they gave me it no problem so I'm guessing it's ok, but would love some reassurance if anyone knows? I know I should be asking the vet, but it's Sunday and I reckon I bug them enough
Thanks as always

Re: To anyone who knows about fibreplex
The instructions online say -
'1ml per kg of body weight, 3 times a day for 1 or 2 days or as directed by your veterinary surgeon.'
Which implies that it is fine to give on and off.

That's what I was thinking, but I always like reassurance when it comes to bunny meds!! I was just scared of causing any damage if we are using it indefinitely.
Thank you

Protexin do another fibre product that you sprinkle on food that looks suitable for daily long term use. The Hayexperts are now selling it in their medicine box section if you want to check it out.

Our bridge bun Barney used to have this an awful lot of times and it was fine to use on and off.

Re: To anyone who knows about fibreplex
Its really a short-term product and doesn't contain medicine per se, so is fine to give as you've described.
