HBWS
Talk about shut the stable door after the horse has bolted. A couple of weeks ago I had my bunny Harry doctored, we had another girl we wanted to bond him with who is Sally. Well being such a lovely weekend we had both runs out and started the process of bonding through bars, well you can guess cant you. YES STUPID me put them together as they were laying side by side either side of the bars. Then my neighbour told me he could still mate and I was stunned scratch so onto this site I go study and yes its true. WHAT HAVE I DONE!! All good intentions out the window HBWS

You didn't know, in fairness, and your vet should have advised you about it. I don't actually know what the exact period is, but 2 weeks may be enough. I hope all's well with Sally. don't be too hard on yourself, if no-one tells you, why would you know?

Yeah they can breed for about 5 - 7 weeks after been done, thats why waiting till next month before get charlie a parnter to bond him with, I am a bit worried about how to bond them as I dont have the space to put another hut/cage outside, charlie is in a kids play hut, a friend said his hut is big enough just to put her in with him loads of room for her to keep away from him what do you think.

As Jay said, your vet should have advised you so don't be too hard on yourself. I hope everything is okay though!

I would say the chances are slim that she will be pregnant but I would read up on signs of nesting behaviour and keep a close eye on her until approx. 35 days post-meeting.

Have you split them again?

Aarr bless, these things happen, we made a few mistakes with our guinea pigs in the past.

Lots of hugs and everything crossed.

I wouldn't do it quite like that:shock: Neutral territory is the best way forward, a bathroom or spare bedroom? Let them live there for a short while to see how they get along and meanwhile, thoroughly clean his play hut to remove his smell so it is more neutral when you put them both in there. Good luck!
