bonding charlie
In a few weeks - month I would like to bond charlie with a female, but I have limited space to add an additional cage/hut beside him, a friend said his hut it large enough to just put her in, is this work. I feel he needs more company for when we cant spend time with him, but dont want to risk him no accepting her, is there any advice you can offer me.

Re: bonding charlie
I would arrange a speed dating service with your local rescue, if they do it. You take Charlie along, and they will set up a bonding pen or similar, and introduce him to one or a few females. If he gets on with one, you can leave him there for a couple of days, then go and collect the happy couple.
You'll need to thoroughly wash all accommodation and run etc. before they arrive.
Problem with your plan is that if you get the girl home, and they don't get on, and you haven't the space - you will either have 2 buns living seperately, or you'll have to return or surrender your new female.
Let us know how it goes

Re: bonding charlie
I think I read this wrong! I thought you had the female already, silly me
I agree with Jay, bunny dating at a rescue is brilliant
Took my little girl Tigger along at the beginning of April this year and it was brilliantly easy. She fell in love with her first potential husbun and that was that.
They kept her for 5 days I think, and then the newlyweds were delivered home to me

Re: bonding charlie
Closest one is in fife, its to far away from us, there is a lady in falkirk tho who takes them in, might give her a call ask her if she can help me out, she just puts them in beside each other tho, but she has a HUGE area for them in the back half of the garden, built a waren like thing, with levels and hides, about 6 x 4 mtrs if not bigger, with outer sections for the ducks, so suppose she doesnt have a problem with them not liking each other plenty room to get away.
