new indoor home
ok so I've finally decided it is time to make Buttons a new and bigger home, as i am now i have a job and working mon-fri 9-5 and the bf works so he is always alone during the day. (when we are home he has the run of the whole flat!)
I am going to use those C&C grid things as i have a pack already from when i 1st got buttons to make a pen. I basically am asking, what should i put on the floor? or should i leave it as just carpet? I kinda want to put something down, in case of an accident or if he decides to take up his old carpet eating habit!
any recommendations is much appreciated!!!

Re: new indoor home
When my pair spent some time living in the garage (whilst house on the market - funnily enough I didn't trust the estate agents to manage to keep them confined to the right room) I line the run they had then with that plasticy table cloth. You just have to make sure it's edges are outside the run so they cannot chew them. Trago sell it by the metre.

Yea I bought some if that stuff from trago before but for some reason buttons just wanted to eat it!! I might try it again but wondered if there was anything else I could use? Or do you recon that stuff then with a blanket or something over the top to stop him slipping and chewing it?

Re: new indoor home
If you go for the more expensive stuff they are a bit more fabric like and less slippy. My pair had no problems with it at all - and Flo is petrified of slippy surfaces.
Or you could get some non-slip lino. Trago also sell the really grainy industrial weight lino that I have used to line hutches before and would be hard to chew.
