can a petshop be a rescue also?
There is a petstore local to me that breeds it's own piggies and rabbits to sell, but it also claims to be a rescue and rehoming centre. I think the rehoming part is at their home address. Isn't that contradictory? What do you think?

IMHO, It depends on your definition of rescue I suppose, and how honest they are in using that word.
Like the pet superstore that has the adoption bit, it's a contrary situation.
Some recues breed also, but take in other buns and rehome.
If, for example, the 'rescue' in this instance is simply rehoming stock that they can't shift, then no, they aren't a rescue. If, despite their pet store, they are running a rescue and re-home for animals that have been handed in, then technically/legally etc., yes, they are a rescue.
The ethical debate about what defines a rescue is arguable, so I suppose different people will have a different definition.

I don't like the sound of that at all Try google earth with their address that's what I do if I am in doubt about a rescue. There are rescues out there that are not what they say they are!
