degu rescue Empty degu rescue

just wondering if anyone in the north east knows of a degu rescue? as our juniors new owner wants a little mate for him to bond with him. Ive advised him not to go to a pet shop and ill try and get a rescue he can get one or a bonded pair from.
any ideas???
