Good evening HH!

Hello All,

I joined HH a couple of days ago because a friend at work let me know how helpful and friendly you all were (plus you seem to know your stuff ).

My rabbit is 5 month old Nighthawk. he's named Nighthawk for three reasons. First, because of a supervillan turned good-guy comic book character (awesome). Second, because it's my best friends nickname (because of a very funny movie starring Mr Ferrel & Mr Reilly). And thirdly, because it's just toooo cool... at least I think so!

Nighthawk is so cheeky, the vets have described him as "spritely", "having an attitude" and "difficult", but I love him anyway. He just doesn't like being held for too long because it's a long way down.

He does however love his snuggles off mummy and grandma, especially when he's squidged in the middle of us.

Oh, and he definitely isn't camera shy...

Hellooo! I would absolutely love to get him a buddy, but I have no room. He is an extremely spoilt little fella and has his cage in the conservatory which is now 'his house', plenty of room to run around, but just not enough for two cages!

I know buns love to have company, but I hope the amount of time the family spends with him will be enough. He probably just wants to be left alone god bless him!!

He's a mini lop just like Buttons. Is Buttons a doe or a buck?
Nighthawk has a ginger beard, don't know if this is why he has such a temper, does Buttons?

aww Buttons is a buck too!! how sweet him having a little ginger beard!! Buttons is totally black apart from 1 single white hair right in the middle of his head!!

Nighthawk has a white hair too. I wonder where these crop up from?
Also, I wonder if this is just a mini lop thing or a complete bun feature; when he lies down he looks like he's been run over by a truck??

I was worried his ribs had disappeared when he first spralled out!

I'm sure you'll have a lovely time here!

I do think all black rabbit have the odd random white hair, because the woman i got him from does bunny shows and she has to pluck any stray white hairs on the black rabbits!! I like to remind him of this pain he has been saved from!!

Just noticed your in reading, I think that is where icedancer lives too!! Although I think Florence is a Dwarf, so would tower over little Nighthawk once she is fully grown!!

He's gorgeous , you're lucky to have him and welcome hope you settle in and enjoy it here ! You really love him don't you , your so loyal , friendly and all of the rest of that nice friend behaviour towards everybody , especially Nighthawk! And we appreciate that you think we know our stuff .

Haha, really? Oh I no shows are to show off the most excellent and fabulously well bred buns but plucking out hair? Youch!! I shall remind Nighthawk of this too, or when he's cheeky say "it'll be the shows for you boy... Pluck, pluck, plucccckkk!!!!! muahahaha"

How can you definitively tell your rabbit is a mini/dwarf during teeage years... because I was looking at pictures of buny dwarfs and they're basically facially and length-wise the same as a mini.

I hope I haven't offended anybody by saying that, I don't mean to be ignorant but I'm just worried Nighthawk will turn out to be a dwarf!!!

I only have the breeders word that he is a mini.

Nevertheless, I'm not too fussed, just want him to have the best care!
