anyone got stable doors on there buns huts
Were building the wee buns play hut, its a stable door but its not in solid section, there is a gap all round a good 3mm at least and a gap in the middle, would putting a lip of wood round the in side frame, then a piece on the top half door at the bottom so it over laps the base door, does that make sence, I didnt realise the door was going to be like this, or would have went for a different style with a solid door.

We have a stable door on our shed. Hudad is going to clean it out in a minute so I'll get him to take a few pics to show you what he did when he built it

Cheers that will be a big help, its going to take more work than charlies so wont be ready today after all, not expecting stu to do everything in one day, will end up knackered. I will line it once hes finished building it, and put it on the blocks

We have stable doors on our hay shed, we had it built to match the boarding shed and the guy put vent's in the back of it so we could store our hay, we bought it to store our hay and the Rabbit rescue's hay we use to help but they fell out with us so we fill it with hay for us now.

The lip in the middle of the door was what we were thinking would work, then just leaves the internal frame to try and sort so no draft will get in. Will put a lip on the base door at the bottom instead of on the frame knowing me I would fall on my face trip on it.

Re- warming/thckening the door. The silver bubble wrap that I am always banging on about it very good. I have 2 double doors in my living room which is un-necessary and one of the sofas is in front of one of the doors. During the winter it becomes a very cold place to sit. I have fixed some of the silver bubble wrap to the lower half of the door (the bit behind the sofa) and it has made a huge difference. You could sandwich this between the door and another bit of board to improve it.

Sorry it took so long, Rosie made Hudad put a new window in the Chalet and Sparky had a present from Hudad.
And a few more pics of the shed (pre clean out)

Will show hubby what you made, that wood you used on the shelfs I might get this time for inside it, as you can see by the photo its utter rubbish for the money but too late now its built.

That board is called OSB2. Hudad says you can get an 8'x4' sheet 9mm thick from B&Q for about £14 (or £11 if you have a Tradepoint card). They'll even cut it free of charge for you apparently

Another piccie for Icedancer
The catflap in the end comes out onto the bottom tier of the garden (well, the first one above the 'patio').
They do go right up to the loft too:
Peek-a-boo!

Re: anyone got stable doors on there buns huts
Charlie never sits at the door, if he hears us coming or see's us he is right up on the level next to the window so he can groom our noses when we open the door, the wee 1s I am going to make a mesh screen so can leave the top door open in the summer let air in, charlies window opens but theres doesnt so feel will need more air that way. Its rubbish tho lol hate it lol
