Re: bloody urine
this is blood hun its bright red I touched it and it is thick, the only time Ive seen something like this is when a bun has had a kit, none are preg or had litters as the boys are divided and let out separately x
Re: bloody urine
Kidney stones maybe? I hope not as have had these myself and they are horrendous...But unfortunately I have heard of bunnies getting them too xx

Re: bloody urine
[b]Ruffin had a problem 9 months ago it was Bladder sludge must admit she was quite ill with it the vets did a fantastic job but even now every so often yesterday in fact was one of the days there was blood on the floor but then it clears up on its own the vets did tell us to expect this only other thing it could have been was she gave Minto the cat a smack on the nose for not leaving her any cat treats

Re: bloody urine
Have you fed them more veggies with high calcium in them lately? That can cause the kidney sand or stones. We had that with one bun.

Re: bloody urine
Hope you have found which nun and the cause.. I know they can have red urine and beetroot makes it looks horrendous, but as you have said it's thick and reminds you of when a bun has had kits I think your right to be a bit concerned, best wishes xx

Re: bloody urine
hi all,
Well since writing this post I have used a empty hutch Ive had and put them all in alone one by one swapping them every 2 hours so it gives them a good chance to have a pee, but nothing??
I suspected it could be rose as its only rose and twin that sits and pee's out side of the boys hutches and twink was in with jasper so couldnt of been her, and there was no signs it was rose as she was the first I separated from the group. Im a bit lost now. Ive let them all out together (the girls) today as they have all been locked away in the shed for the past 2 days.
Im a bit unsure of where to go now???

Re: bloody urine
If you haven't noticed any more blood and they are all behaving as normal, I don't think there's a lot you can do except keep an eye on them. Especially if there's one who seems to be a bit less eager for their food - we know that with a big group it can be harder to tell if one if off-colour, but disinterest in food in usually a clear sign
