George needed a dental
My lovely lad George didn't eat much yesterday, and wouldn't touch his breakfast this morning. He just sat in a corner, breathing heavily and thumping his feet. He has a slightly damp chin, so I suspected dental problems. He's got spurs on both sides which needed seeing to. Vibes needed for him please

Re: George needed a dental
Thank you. he is staying at the vets overnight, but he is OK. The only reason he is there is that we didn't have time to go back for him today.
We have had a visit from the RSPCA.
It had been reported that we had a long-haired cat with weepy eyes, and that our mice had not been cleaned out in months.
Our only long-haired cat has not got weepy eyes (none of the cats have), and the mice had been cleaned out yesterday..... and are cleaned out several times a week.
No case to answer - but it shows you that you have to be vigilant. Not sure who reported us, but I wish they had voiced their worried / concerns to us first.

How disheartening! I seriously doubt that whomever reported you had no idea of what the needs for and of your companions are. You are trying to do a good work helping the helpless. You deserve a medal!
Vibes and nuzzles for George and you.

Re: George needed a dental
Thank you. I used to work for RSPCA as a kennel maid. I know they have good points and bad points.... but I was upset that the inspector turned up today (while I was out with George at the vet) and insisted on seeing my clean mouse tanks and my non-snotty cat.

He's on his way back from the vets this evening, but i have been told he's still not eating properly.

OK George....it's time to nom nom all you can! I'll bet they will even give you treats just to see you eat. So like humans to worry over eating isn't it! Use that to your advantage my friend!

Re: George needed a dental
Still not eating pellets. but he is taking a little greenery, chopped carrot, and a tad of chopped apple. Not sure about hay. Not sure about grass or dandelions.
He's poo-ing well and seems more lively.
I am still concerned however.

I bet you are sweetie and we are all here for you. Mr Snuffles absolutely adores parsley and I wondered if George might love it too.
Please keep us posted, there are lots of loving vibes on their way.
