Re: fighting bunnies please help?
The other benefit of spaying is that when they go through the stress of the vet visit together, and being dopey afterwards while they recover, it can make them bond more closely.
My Mummy and two eldest sisters were done together and the process definitely made them closer

Re: fighting bunnies please help?
I had Florence spayed at about 17 weeks old, the vet said they do it when the bunny is over 16 weeks old, and 1kg in weight. As it happens she reached 1kg at 16 weeks.
The few weeks before she did start getting a little assertive, and was nipping a little. She's on her own so I can't compare what she was like with other bunnies, but she certainly pushed her luck with us! She was spayed in November, and we still get the odd nip and nudge, but she is a lot better.
I'm glad I had her done when I did, because now I don't have to think about it. Fingers crossed you'll be able to get the girlies done early too

they have had a silly tiff before and made up quite quickly but they where fighting every time they got close.
im not sure if its possibly the fact they dont have a hugh space to play in right now till someone is in, as they chew the wires at the moment so waiting on my pet run for them so they can get out during the day all day full access etc.
x
You are sure they are not male's at all.

Why I ask is we had 2 baby buns both males and we kept them together being Brothers and they started to fight at a young age and we had to split them up, and I have had older Brothers that lived together quite happily and then suddenly had a awful fight and they were both in a tight ball, and I had to rush to the vet's with one as males will fight to kill and they go for the genitals and hang on causing serious injuries to each other.
I know some people keep males together happily but we would never put two males together again, I saw enough that day

Re: fighting bunnies please help?
What do you call fighting? My pair chase each other all the time and it is part of their bonded behaviour. You can see the fur fly in this video.
This is typical dominance behaviour
If all else fails buy some chickens to sort them out
Seriously though. Space can be an issue and you may find they settle better when they can sit apart from each other. And the spaying will really help. If you do have boys it should become apparent in the next few weeks!

Oh my God those chickens were actually splitting the fighting buns up and they even looked as if they were warning them not to do it again...absolutely amazing

Re: fighting bunnies please help?
Try leaving them with the radio on - radio 4 would be good as it will be a sequence of unfamiliar voices that will make the buns feel a little insecure.

Oh this is such a shame, we are trying to bond two bunnies at the moment that have had a broken bond due to the female having a major Op before Christmas to remove a blockage and so we had to keep her separate. When she was better and all healed we put them back together and she went up to the male and washed his head and he just jumped on her and they ended up fighting and we have been trying since to bond them back together. They sit in opposite corners staring each other out and then one will move and then there is a fight and fur pulling and yet they have been together since babies. It's so upsetting.
I really feel for you
