Maggies eye
Maggie likes to close here eyes when shes having a stroke, so its taken me a while to be certain; She tends to close her left eye a lot :S When its open, it looks fine, theres no gunk or anything in it. She had it closed again tonight, and i tried to have a look at it and she was reluctant to open it. I cant see anything though. The membranes may have been slightly moist, but it wasnt excessive.
Shes at the vets next Monday, but im not sure if my usual vet will be back off her holiday yet. What could the problem be? Im just confused as apart from her closing it a lot, it looks fine.

Re: Maggies eye
Is it not usual for buns to sleep with one eye open sometimes? Could that be it?

Re: Maggies eye
Father Jack had a spell of a few days like this last week. No sign of gunk. swelling, soreness or discomfort - he just had one eye closed quite a lot of the time.
The Hu-people bathed it in salt water for him a couple of times, and Humum had a good look, but they couldn't see any reason for it so left him alone, just kept an eye on him (geddit? ) and he seems fine now*
*apart from being in a grump from being handled, which he hates

I don't think it's anything to worry about if there is no swelling or soreness to the eye, maybe bathe it if you are worried and just keep checking it.
