Panacur wormer
I was talking to a vet last night about panacur. I have a hedgehog who needs worming, as he has lungworm. Normally i use panacur puppy/kitten suspension, but I havn't any in stock. I do however have several tubes of rabbit panacur.
I asked him if it was safe for hedgehogs, and what doseage.
He said he never buys it for his clients. it is the same formula and same strength as the puppy/kitten one - just a different box. And it is much more expensive.
It is safe for me to worm my hedgehog with the rabbit panacur - but he suggests that in future I buy the cheaper (but identical) version - ie the puppy/kitten one.
If any of you regularly worm your rabbits, can i suggest you dont go to the expense of buying the packet that says Rabbit on it.

Re: Panacur wormer
Id just stick with what i know is safe, i dont mind paying the extra. If something went wrong, i couldnt do anything about it because id used the puppy/kitten one instead of the one specifically for rabbits and id be the one to blame, not the manufacturer.
