Glad to hear she is improving - a word of caution though, she shouldn't be jumping around too much for fear of splitting her stitches.

Re: Easter on the mend..yay!!!!!
So glad to hear she's better this morning. I know what I was like with Florence, it was horrible. The night after she was done I got up at about 1am to check on her and she just gave me a "what do you want" look
Hope she continues to improve.

Re: Easter on the mend..yay!!!!!
So glad she is eating and just give her cage/hutch rest for a few days to give her chance to heal. A female spay is a big Op and they need to get over it.

Re: Easter on the mend..yay!!!!!
I've bought her back in again as she went a bit quiet, so she has been sat on the sofa on her fleece blankedt. I hand fed her some cranberries and cut some fresh grass from the front lawn (things we do for our buns eh?!) I think I will keep her indoors again tonight in the cage. Just a bit worried about how Hermione will respond to her when she goes back in the playhouse. hermione is very hormonal at present and had made a fur nest earlier in the week. I wish i could have had them done together but our car keeps needing stuff done to it and it's eating away our bank account.
She hasn't poo'd since this morning but she is eating small amounts of food every now and then. I'm sure Hazel and Faline were eating by now properly but I cannot remember. I'll keep an eye on her anyway, I gave her a little cuddle earlier and she tooth purred a little

Re: Easter on the mend..yay!!!!!
Every bunny I have had love, when coming back from being spayed, has not eaten until the next day, sometimes quite late. Try her with parsley, mine love it.
Loving thingies toyou and your little ones.

I'm glad she feels a bit better
Another night or two indoors is probably not a bad idea. How long is before her follow-up checkup?

Re: Easter on the mend..yay!!!!!
They didn't mention that. DH picked her up so didn't really know what questions to ask. I'm going to phone them tomorrow anyway just to talk through how she has been. I'm hoping to take her back so they can give her some pain relief. The wound site is clean and she hasn't been nibbling it or anything.
She has eaten the parsley I gave her, and a few cranberries and had a munch on some pellets. She is sat in the carrier onthe sofa with me at them mo bless her.

Re: Easter on the mend..yay!!!!!
Easter worsened over night She sat on my lap last night for almost two hours and didn't move which is unlike her, those mini rex of mine are nutters usually. I tried to tempt her to eat but no joy. I put her to bed and this morning she had a few tiny poos but not much and her sides were all sucked in
I have just got back from the vets, she was really helpful and said that the wound site is clean and healing well, she is in pain, but also the stress of it has affected her. She gave her a pain killing injection and something to get her gut moving as she could feel a build up of pellets inside her.
I've got to syringe feed her some science selective recovery food and give her some zantac with it to reduce stomach acid, and tomorrow give her some metacam for the pain. If she isn't better by sunday, they will admit her and care for her themselves.
please send vibes to my beautiful bunny, Easter, thank you

Re: Easter on the mend..yay!!!!!
Hazel did the sucked in sides thing after her spay, Easter had pulled her sides in and was hunched up. Doesn't look natural at any rate

Re: Easter on the mend..yay!!!!!
I have feed her the recovery food, she is sooooo good for me and just lets me syringe it into the side of her mouth. She has a little napkin so it doesn't dribble down her fur
She has been eating her hay and her sides aren't sucked in as much anymore. I think she is over the worst and I feel better knowing she has additional pain relief for tomorrow. If she carries on taking the food and eating her hay she won't need to stay at the vets.
Only thing I am worried about now is how her sister will react when she goes back to join them in a few days. Boo is quite laid back but Hermione is very hormonal and has made herself top bun in the trio. May have to do some re bonding there.

Re: Easter on the mend..yay!!!!!
It sounds like it's pain causing the problem, so hopefully the pain relief will help.
When you take Hermione in, I would ask them to give you two or three days-worth of pain relief for her for afterwards. I can't imagine a bun coming home from a spay without it really
I hope she is feeling lots better soon

Re: Easter on the mend..yay!!!!!
I'm sorry to hear she is still poorly, try giving her some water every 2 hours about 10-15 mls in a 1ml syringe as she could be dehydrated as sometimes this is overlooked when bunnies are not eating and a couple of syringes of water can make a big difference. Do you know if your vet gave Easter any fluids.
