Should I Be Worried?
I've got home from work today, to find clumps of fur all over the playpen rug. Some is Dougals, and some I'm unsure of. I think some is Florence, because she did have some loose tuffs on her back. I cleared it all up, and since then more has appeared.
They don't seem to be annoyed with each other, so I don't think there has been a fight and they ate dinner fine. But is this normal?!

Re: Should I Be Worried?
I imagine it is the spring moult, in which case it's perfectly normal Are they ok in themselves in every other way?
Re: Should I Be Worried?
Yup they are fine, they are snuggled up together at the moment which is what makes me think it isn't an argument.
I can't believe Dougal has anymore fur to moult, hes moulted constantly since he moved in

Re: Should I Be Worried?
Teddy never has a particular moult, his fur just gets everywhere all year round! Toffee does though, should be starting very soon I imagine.
Re: Should I Be Worried?
I can safely say they are both fine, it took Florence a record 5 minutes to suss out the pen was unhooked and for her to open it and escape
Dougal has now followed her out and I'm just "ah let them have fun" I'm meant to be working but I'm getting distracted by stopping them doing various things At one point I was trying to get Dougal out from under the computer table when Florence decides to scale a stack of DVDs
This is what I have to look forward to when I'm fully bunny proofed

Re: Should I Be Worried?
Ah, the joys of moulting. Joey got a good brushing today, and we filled a carrier bag with fur It was all over the place, including in mouth and nose. Nice.

Re: Should I Be Worried?
I'm trying to brush both of them but they are both so excitable today. I'm not getting anywhere with it. I don't know what's got into the pair of them.
I was hoping to get away with not hoovering tonight, no chance of that

Re: Should I Be Worried?
It's completely normal for me...
I find two types of fur in the shed:
1. Is the very light balls of loose strands that just seem to blow around in the breeze. This, I think, is normal moult.
2. Is this...
Which seems to be what Tigger pulls out when she gives Jeeves a good humping. And from the humping you have described by miss Florence, you may have this sort of thing hanging around too :
I also seem to find the last sort just sticking out of Jeeves' back which may be normal moult too.

Re: Should I Be Worried?
That's exactly what it looks like!! So sounds like the two of them were getting it on when I was at work then I did ask her yesterday not to do it in front of me, so maybe she finally listened
Florence did have a few tuffs loose on her back, but not as big as the ones on the floor. One was nearly as big as Dougals tail
I don't know what's got into them the last few days. When they were playing in the living room earlier Dougal went up a couple of the stairs From a bunny who doesn't "do" jumping I was quite impressed.
The little darlings! I feel so sorry for people who just keep them in a hutch and don't get to see the funny things they get up to.

Re: Should I Be Worried?
I blame spring (I always blame the seasons!!)
One was as big as his tail?! Crikey
It definitely sounds like Florence has been having her wicked way with him
Oh I feel sorry for them too, they had absolutely no idea how funny these fluff balls can be and how they get up to the strangest of things.
