really worried
my bluebell is going for he dentals today but she has not eaten or drank properly yesterday and i noticed some very small poos
although i really hope the dental de spuring will make her better i don't feel that the dentals are the only problem just gut feelings really but am going to tell vets about the poos and my feelings,
i really hope it's only dental and yhat she gets better quickly
the small poos are not round they are like chips off of it like tiny flakey chiped pieces

Re: really worried
Hi rob,
The small poos are likely to be because she cant eat because eating is painful.
Its worth asking the vet for some syringes so that she can be syringe fed if she is still uncomfortable afterwards.
Sending her vibes for today and hugs for you as I know you will be worried x

Re: really worried
Bluebell should also come home with pain relief medicine. After Noo's last dental a month ago she did not eat properly for 4 days I suspect because her mouth was still tender. Once I realised this I increased the dose of metacam - it may have been a coincidence but at that point she started eating for herself.
Hope all goes well xx

Re: really worried
Did they give you the proper recovery syringes Rob. Recovery is a relly pin to get through a normal syringe and the new packs come with proper feeding syringes. I had to repaint the ceiling in my old house after and exploding recovery incident. Has anyone else noticed how the new recovery formula is really fennelly? As Katie said the teeth problems will have probably caused the tummy ones. Did you take Bluebell in to beck checked before booking the dental. If so, next time this happens make sure the vet gives some metacam on the check up. I know Bruces teeth are a problem because he stops eating and starts sulking. A dose of metcam can often get him eating again thus reducing the gut problems. If this is a recurring problem it may well be worth asking the vet for a bottle of metcam to keep at home for this purpose.

Re: really worried
well she's in for her dentals and i miss her so much already
they re checked her teeth and one side is worse than the other as one side is not too bad they checked her tummy and looked at the small poo's they said apart from the spurs she's a healthy bun,
they gave me a normal syringe but the vet cut some of the end off beforehand.
i asked to stay with her as she kept cuddling up to me but they said i couldn't

Re: really worried
My big bun Mr Pickles has to have dentals every 3 months and I hate when he has to go in! We are trying a new thing that he goes to vets every 2 weeks to have his teeth filed to see if that prolongs the time between dentals.
Hows you Bun?
