Update: Not good news :(
Hudad took Mrs Doyle back to the vets at 2pm, he was really worried about her. He had given her recovery food and water but she hasn't been to the toilet at all since yesterday afternoon and she's just swollen up.
He's just had a call from the vet. Mrs Doyle has been sedated and had an X-ray. She's got a twisted tummy and gases are building up all through her intestines The vet doesn't think it is fair on her to put her under such an intensive operation to sort it out
Hudad is meeting humum at the vets in about half an hour when they need to make a decision. I don't think I'm going to see Mrs Doyle again

oh no! I am hoping that Hudad and Humum can make a clear choice for Mrs Doyle - there is nothing worse than being unsure. I am desperately hoping that there is something that can be done.

Re: Vibes for Mrs Doyle Please...... U/D - Bad news :(
She's gone
The vet advised that it was very unlikely that she would come through an operation. We had a chance to say goodbye. She was very sleepy as she had been sedated for the radiograph, so we asked them to let her go before she came round very much more. The vet did say that even if we had taken her in sooner, the outcome would likely have been the same. Also that it's likely she has always had an underlying problem.
Thank you so much for all your support, peeps - this is the last thing I expected to be doing on the way home from work tonight. She's been poorly with tummy trouble several times and we've always pulled her through it before.
We'll pick her ashes up next week and she can sit next to Molly on the mantlepiece.
Thanks especially to Tuckerbunnies for being on the end of the phone for hubby earlier

I am so sorry to hear this - such sad news. Bunnies seem so strong in many ways but tummy problems show just how fragile they really are.
Sleep tight Mrs Doyle. I am thinking of you all xx
