Vibes Please For Leah and Cherry! U/D - fab news!!!!

My two little diddy girls.

Leah and Cherry were found dumped in a box in a field in 2011, well Cherry was, Leah was born after they were rescued, along with some of their relatives. They were rescued by two girls who then rehomed them once it was obvious the owners weren't coming forward.

Leah was born when her mum was only about 7 weeks old, and her dad is also another relative. As a result Leah is very inbred and doesn't really look like a hamster, her face is more rat like. Cherry is Leah's mums sister, (we believe) who miraculously didn't mate. Only two or three made it from Leah's litter, the rest were too badly deformed to survive.

Leah's mum, Millie, died just after Christmas from a stomach tumour. Another relative, who looks just like Leah so I think he may be her brother, has also developed a tumour in the same area, so understandably I am very concerned about my girls, especially Leah.

They are going for a health check today. I'm pretty sure that Cherry is ok, she comes out and plays and lets me check her. Leah however had become really good at coming out to play, and to be checked, but now she yells at me, which makes me more worried there is something wrong.

Can I have some good luck vibes please for my girls?

They are in their little carrier now It's like a toy it's so small. I was going to take them in their cage, but I feel safer with them in there for some reason.

Sorry I didn't have a chance to update the thread before I had to whizz out again (on a date which didn't actually happen )

Leah was a complete little madam, yelled and struggled, but Cherry was an angel. They have both been given a completely clean bill of health! I am actually shocked, I was convinced that Leah would have a problem.

The only thing that came up was that we may have guessed the family tree wrong, because my friend now thinks Cherry is younger than Leah, originally we thought Cherry was the elder. So we aren't quite sure who Cherry is related to and how, but hey they are both healthy and in good condition!
