It happened this afternoon. He is able to stand up again now but has limited use of his hind legs and I dont think he can see Crying or Very sad
He is having supportive care and I will see how he is in a few hours. He has started to nibble at some gratted carrot, his most favorite food.

I wont be surprised if this very old and very dear Bun passes away tonight

I have just taken these pics. Dr Finlay is not distressed and has eaten a bit more. As you can see he has lost the use of his right hind leg. He is also now blind. I will be sleeping in the pen with Dr F and Esther tonight. I dont want to seperate them, but Esther is so active that I am worried she may accidently knock Dr F over

Sadly overnight Dr Finlay has deteriorated Crying or Very sad
He has lost all use of his back end
He remains blind

I do not believe he is in pain, but he has had pain relief anyway. He is still eating and drinking. I will monitor him closely all day today, I think he will just slip away But should he show any signs of distress what-so-ever I will take him to be helped to The Bridge Crying or Very sad

I know noBun can live forever and that 11+ years is a very good age. But saying 'goodbye' is still so.............

That is sad news Jane. 11 is a fantastic age so has also has a positive in that that it is amazing that he has lived to such a ripe old age and had a lovely life so even though this is a very sad time you can be comforted a little I hope by his long and happy life.

He has reached a wonderful age but i know that doesnt make the pain any less Crying or Very sad
