What claw clippers?
With some of us living indoors at the moment, the Hu-parents want a set of clippers to clip our claws themselves.
Can anyone recommend a set? They don't see the point in buying cheap ones that don't do the job efficiently, so if they are going to buy a decent pair would like a recommendation from the Hoppers

I have tried a few and these are my favourite

particularly the Miki ones as they have good shaped handles and are quite sturdy. Other makes are smaller and more fiddly and feel like they will break if you happen to use them as wire cutters when your desperate for example.

Tbh, the pair I have were inexpensive and I've had them for years!! The vet did Thumper's nails for the first few years and then we did them ourselves. Same pair and bear in mind she was almost 11!

Re: What claw clippers?
We use a really good pair of human toe nail clippers.....
They are a nice clean cut and easy to use.

Re: What claw clippers?
The type of clippers Cheryl suggests are wonderful. I have a different brand though. Yours look nicer. With so many paws to clip, you may wish to get two since they need to be disinfected between bunnies
Some people prefer the guillotine variety, but I found it easier to cut into the quick. HH has a video on YouTube that talks about the two. Also shows a detailed how to do staring Jay and Bridge bunny Bertie.

Re: What claw clippers?
Thanks all - Hudad has ordered a set
I'll let you know as soon as they have maimed one of us with them
Maysie - what's the name of that pencil thing you have to stop the bleeding? I might make sure they have one of them too. I want to call it a septic pencil but I'm sure that's wrong

It's called a ' STYPTIC PENCIL' and you can usually buy them from most chemists
