companion for charlie
I was offered 2 buns for free again from lady got smokey and rosie from, but she has no clue if there boy or girls, so this puts me off as well as other things. So gave pets at home a call, they have no rescues in that would be suitable to bond with charlie or with my kids. But they have baby girls just came in, through the back, the cant show me them yet but she disgribed them, 1 black, 1 black and white & 1 brown and white like charlie, then she said and one pure ilbino, I WANT HER. They are ready for viewing on wed, I really hope no one beats me to her.

Re: companion for charlie
Aren't there any other rescues near you? Or a suitable girl on Rabbit Rehome? I really would have thought you would be better off with a mature female who has already been spayed and can be bonded with Charlie straight away.
P@H have a reputation for incorrectly sexing baby bunnies - what would you do if you ended up with another boy?

Re: companion for charlie
None near me, I am in falkirk. I understand where your coming from tho. I might phone round the other stores see if they have any in the rescue section. I would take one from rescue but dont travel well so they really would have to bring one to me, there is one on facebook I seen (on one of the bunny forum pages) they have babys and spayed adults but no clue where they are.

Re: companion for charlie
Was thinking about calling the vet ask if he knows of any rescues, there is a lady in falkirk who takes them in, but she doesnt bother bonding them or having them spayed, she just puts them in with the rest of her ducks, guinie pigs, rabbits and birds all in the garden that has a pond huge shed where they sleep, fenced off grass, there are hutches in the house and the concervitory but she keeps them for the buns that come in she wants to keep for herself, I dont think this is a very good way to keep them so I am put of going to her, Bugsy went there, she was our 1st bunny and I got her from a farm and really think she was half wild as they were in the barn, with no real human contact other than to go get her and bring her to me, she was highly aggressive and I didnt know enough about buns.

The site is also really out of date, the date at top says 2008, so is it still running.

Re: companion for charlie
I saw lots of these buns on the website Father Jack posted earlier but more info on here
Poppy is like Sasha!! And India looks like a deer! Sooo cute.
I can't believe Barbie has been waiting for a home for 6 months!!! She's so pretty!!!
I'm not sure what Currently Not is all about. I'm really hoping that's a screw up and not actually a buns name!!

Re: companion for charlie
I think you can be quite confident that the info on RR is current as well. When you look at the rehomers details for 'currently not' it makes much more sense.

Re: companion for charlie
Well went in today, the boy gave me wrong day, numpty. It is tomorow they are ready. I think I will take tho, the staff said normally they dont have albinos in the store as noone wants them, and will be lucky to home her anyway, the lass said the fact I want her has lifted a worry of the managers shoulders, any other albinos have had to be sent to rescues as no one will take them due to eye sight problems. they cant see distances, what do you need them to see distances for they running races. I am happy as long as she settles with charlie, if she doesnt (fingers crossed its a big if) I have the hutch as the other 2 dont really need it now they are bonded and run in and out the house. I showed the staff my photos of my work and the pics of my 3, they are highly impressed with it and said wish others would put as much thought into it.

Really not sure about travel, from falkirk to stirling/livingstone is usually what I manage without panic attacks.
