Willow Update & Photos.
Hi everyone,
I just thought I'd share an update on Willow.
She has continued to settle in well, and is getting more confident with venturing out of her run. We even had a little breakthrough this morning when she put her little front paws up on my leg!
We had our vet visit last weekend, to see the rabbit specialist. I breathed a HUGE sigh of relief to learn Willow's health is great! Clean ears, clear eyes, beautiful teeth, great bone structure, healthy poops and gaining weight like a champion!
The lump on her side turned out to be a cyst that isn't causing her any problems or discomfort - this will be removed when she's desexed.
She had her vaccinations and a manicure while we were there!
We've also started our brushing routine, which Willow doesn't exactly enjoy. Now that she's eating well and is much healthier than before, her coat has become thicker and longer. It's quite incredible really.
Does anyone have any maintenance tips for me? Best type of brush/comb to use? The vet said Willow is a Cashmere.
Anyway, I know you're all really here for the photos... so here we go:
Guard bunny - no one touch my toys!
The binkies have continued and increased in height..
... Although Willow does get pretty tired after her binky sessions.
Resting.
*smooooooooooch*
Showing off my luscious lochs..

Re: Willow Update & Photos.
For the grooming routine I suggest you try different things and see what suits you. Bruce requires grooming but really hates it. I tend to use on of those wire grooming brushes briefly then a human round bristle brush afterwards. I find that the round shape that you can twirl seems to be better at removing the hairs. But make sure you do little and often and alays treat afterwards. Doing it for too long and without reward can lead to agressive behaviour and then you will have real problems.

She is looking fabulous, and happy
I love the binky pic and the one where she is smiling
I'm really pleased that the lump has turned out to be benign and nothing to worry about

Re: Willow Update & Photos.
She is really gorgeous and if she is a Cashmere she will have to be regularly groomed, their coats are not unlike a coat of an Angora rabbit and if not groomed regularly will matt. Large combs are the best as a brush or slicker brushes only seem to do the top coat a comb will get to the roots and where the coat matts. ( try the combs for longhaired cats)
When grooming her blow in her fur and you should be able to see where the matts are forming at the base of her coat and you just gently be able to comb them out or tease them out with your fingers that's what we do.
This may be help http://www.cottontails-rescue.org.uk/Grooming%20.asp
