The very handsome Jeff



Jeff is here on holiday with his Wife Lexi and they belong to 'YorkshireDebs' on the forum, he has recently had a dental spur removed and his face had swollen up on one side. It didn't seem to be going down and we were getting a little worried about it so with Debs permission we took him to see our vet and he has two abscesses side by side on the inside of his cheek so tomorrow he is going back to have surgery.

Usually we call him Ninja Jeff as he does the biggest binky's and we are very fond of him and so could we have some special magic hopper Vibes for him for his Op tomorrow Please.

Awww...thank you so much Maysie, not just for the HH good vibes call, but also for looking out for my little man. I feel very far away from him right now, so it's so good to know he's in such good hands. I do miss the Ninja. Sad that he's lost his bounce for a while.....give him a big cuddle from all of us please!! And Lexi too - wouldn't want her to feel left out.

I'll be thinking of him tomorrow  

And Sparky, you have an excellent memory!  
I often look at that video if I need a chuckle.

I'm sure once he get's those nasty abscesses sorted out he will be the 'Ninja Jeff' again that we all know and love, Honor said she was surprised he was still eating with the abscesses but so far there is nothing wrong with his appetite. I've done him and Lexi a packed lunch for tomorrow and hopefully by the time you come to collect them Jeff will be a lot better.
They have both had a cuddle tonight and an extra fenugreek crunchie.

Don't worry Debs we will look after him xxx

The way to that bun's heart is certainly through his stomach! Even with his huge dental spur and grass seed in his gum recently he only got a bit more picky with his food rather than stopped eating. Loves his food, does Jeff!

Update Friday 13:58pm

Mike has just rang our vet's to see how Jeff is and they have just finished his surgery and he is now in the recovery room and everything has gone ok. Mike is off to collect him at 4:00 pm.

So glad the handsome ninja is okay and here are many recovery vibes for him and hugs.     

I'm glad the op went well. I hope he perks up soon. Top-up vibes    and some    for his Humum.

Update 9:01 pm

Jeff is back with us and a lot more alert than I think we expected, the operation site look's nasty and sore but it will look a lot better by tomorrow. I sent a photo of the operation site to Debs with a warning as not to shock her. Honor also had to take part of Jeff's saliva gland out as the abscess had invaded into it but seemingly the saliva glands regrow.

We have Jeff and Lexi in an indoor cage in the house so we can keep an eye on him plus he is on injections. Penicillian injections every 3 day's starting tomorrow, Vetergesic injection every 8 hours, also Metacam, Septrin and Mike will pack the abscess hole with Manuka honey.

Lexi is also looking after him by snuggling up to him.

Can Jeff have some top up Vibes please Hoppers as he has been through a lot today.

Sending the sweet and handsome Jeff  get well vibes! Get well precious! I'm so glad you and Mike have him there because of the level of care you can provide. I cannot imagine packing the socket in a bunny's mouth with honey and the human live to tell about it!

Update Saturday 11:47am

Jeff is eating and drinking and his wound look's less red and sore this morning. Today Mike is going to clean his abscess cavity and then pack it with Manuka honey which should help to heal. We have always used Manuka honey for abscesses in the past and had great results.

Jeff is just a little bit sleepy this morning but that will be the Vetergesic injection he had last night. Otherwise he is doing ok

Jeff has just had his abscess cavity bathed and packed with Manuka honey and he was a very good boy and let Uncle Mike do it and now he is enjoying some dried Plantain and Clover and some Timothy hay.
