A new plan for the garden...UD 22/09/12 - Page 3 Empty I've been using Hudad's camera.....

Post by Father Jack Sun Sep 23, 2012 4:36 pm

After a while trying, I've managed to plug hudad's camera into his PC. Silly USB leads are not bun friendly No

So a few more pics from the beginning...

The patio was cleared and hudad dug out the silly boarder against the fence. Then he concreted the gap and built base number one (well, modified the old shed roof).

Then he used the base from the old shed for the second half. He crawled underneath to bolt them together and adjust the middle legs. He came to the conclusion that his T-shirt had put on weight Laughing

The slope of the patio is so bad he had to pack the bottom end up by about 7 1/2" Shocked

Then using parts of the old shed, he clad the frames to make a skirt so no bun could get underneath.

Next step was to make a window. Hudad was restricted by the size of the plastic sheet he had (an old run panel) so he built a frame to suit. The bottom section is solid board. Both frames had slots routed into them so the panels are captive and cannot be taken out.

The first hutch is in position with the quad in residence on the ground and first floors and their run fenced off from the other buns.

That's how it stayed for a few weeks until a couple of days ago...

The second hutch is now in position and the temporary roof in place.

Queen Cindy relaxes in her new penthouse abode on the left side of the complex. I just call it the attic but she doesn't like it when I say that Laughing

Charlotte and her babies are on the first floor below Cindy.

Smudge and Ronnie were rather traumatised by the move. They now occupy the first and second floors of the right hand block.

Both Rosie & Dougal (ground floor of the left hand block) and Reggie & Taffy (ground floor, right hand block) were out so I couldn't paparazzi them Sad

Skirting around the bases of the hutches.

One from the bottom left hutch comes out the front into Roo and Dougal's temporary run:

One from the bottom right comes out the right-hand side into Reggie and Taffy's temporary run:

The one you can see on the back of the middle right hutch goes out the back onto the bottom tier of the 'garden' for the quad - you can see it through the shed window in one of the pics Thumbs Up
