Vibes for Willow Please
As some of you may have read on my other thread regarding Willow's neuter, it did not go ahead today. Willow was put under a GA before surgery and reacted terribly - so badly so that she actually stopped breathing. They managed to resuscitate her on the table and reverse the anaesthesia thank goodness.
We have since found out that Willow carries an underlying respiratory condition which apparently many rabbits do. This does not effect her day-to-day life in any way, however, when she goes under she reacts terribly. On the advice of my vet, she really mustn't be put under unless it is a serious situation, in which case we would need to have a go. The vet said it may have just been a one off, but she doesn't want to chance it.
Anyhow, my girl is now back home with her very shaken up mummy. She's very woozy but has had a little pick at her food. It's horrible seeing my beautiful girl who is normally so full of character and so friendly just sitting there totally unresponsive. So, could I make a special request for lots and lots of healing vibes for her to get back to normal very quickly please?
Thank you

Oh my goodness. What a nightmare. So happy the vet was on the ball and was able to save her.
I'm sending you both lots of love and millions of vibes.

Thank you so much. I'm very lucky to have a brilliant vet - the consequences could so easily have been devastating.

Re: Vibes for Willow Please
Did the vet give you an idea of when she might be feeling better?

They reversed the anaesthetic so I think anywhere in the next 24 hours she should perk up. She's already a little better and has had a good munch on her Readigrass, but is far from back to normal.

Oodles of vibes for beautiful Willow.
At least she is eating- that's one less worry.
I hope she's back to her normal self in no time.
for you, you've been through a lot! xxx

Re: Vibes for Willow Please
Thanks so much for all of the support.
Willow is doing much better now - it must be all the HH vibes headed her way! She is pretty much back to her old self, just a little quieter and still a bit wobbly. But she's eating, drinking and hopping around perfectly normally. We've had good poops and she seems to be showing all the correct signs.
I'd also like to say a massive thanks to everyone who's thought of me and provided support. It was the first time I have ever truly experienced a feeling like that when I heard that my girl had actually stopped breathing - and it's a feeling I don't think I'll forget for a while.
It is unfortunate that Willow cannot be spayed and is therefore at a much higher risk of cancer, but we just don't want to put her under unless she really, really needs to be. Let's just keep everything crossed that she is a lucky statistic - and she will be very closely monitored from now on in.
Once again THANK YOU ALL! From me and my beautiful girlie.

I hope she's feeling better today
I'm glad you found us and we were able to be there for you through this - we've all experienced one trauma or another with buns and there's nothing like having like-minded people around to help you through it

Re: Vibes for Willow Please
Thanks so much for a the concern - been a busy weekend so apologies for the slow response! Willow is now 100% back to normal and is being her usual lovely self. Went out on a shopping spearlier and she has been thoroughly spoiled
