I have news

After chatting to the RSPCA today it has been decided - Murtle is coming here on Thursday! Flo's behaviour has lead me to believe that a fast bond seems unrealistic. And anyway my buns have a big room, they will cope if they end up having it split down the middle because they can't get on with Murtle. The RSPCA will keep her 'bed' open for a week just incase it is terrible. So I will have a very bun filled household for a couple of days as Bo does not go until Saturday morning (so at least you will see Murtle arriving before you go hols Thumper2001).

Maybe after The Bo Experience, Flo will decide Murtle is not so bad after all....

(Having said that, perhaps you should reinforce the idea with Flo that you are expecting her to be a Right Madam to bond with Murtle, on the basis that she might object to doing what you expect.)

I hope so too Sparky. Flo was a really hard bond with Bruce so I have a good idea what I am getting myself in to. I have a lot of hope pinned on the hope that Murtle's size and nature will make the difference. We have a weeks grace to find out.

How exciting I just can't wait to see photos!

Let's hope there's a huge turnaround and they bond in decent time. It would be massively funny if Flo met her match, but I don't think she will!

I have put back pick up day until monday. I am working over the weekend but I am around more over the next couple of weeks so it seemed a better idea.
