Scare with Temperance
We had a scare with Temperance on Tuesday night
At about 10pm she jumped up on the sofa, but she landed on a magazine and slid back off. She went and lay down and we never thought anything of it. She has slid off the sofa loads of times. Shortly afterwards we went to give her her dinner. Normally as soon as you go into the hall she is running over to the door or up on the sofa waiting for you to come back, but she never moved. So I took the food to her and she ate one pellet and refused anymore.
We tried to get her to eat for ages, but apart from the occasional tiny scrap she wouldn't take anything. She was getting up and wandering about every now and then, but not her normal energetic self. Eventually we called the vet about 1.30am, who said that we could bring her in if we wanted but as she was taking occasional bits of food and still wandering around he would suggest waiting until morning and if she was no better then take her in. She wouldn't go back in her cage so my OH slept in the living room so she could stay out.
Fortunately, by the morning she was back to her bouncey food obsessed self! She must have hurt herself when she slid off. But my goodness, what a fright
My oh said he woke up a few times during the night and she was sitting next to his head on the sofa staring at him
Proof she is back to her normal self- here she is on Friday giving me evils, not sure what I had done to offend her this time

We do like to keep you on your toes, especially when you are about to go on holiday
I'm glad she is ok, and hope she eventually forgave you for whatever transgression you perpetrated

Re: Scare with Temperance
Well she was off colour again last night. Same as last time, refusing food and just not herself except this time she also pee'd on the sofa- since we've had her she has never peed outside of her pen and 99% of the time its in her litter tray.
I took the sofa shift this time, by 1.30 in the morning I had been woken up 4times by her jumping on me. After she jumped down again the 4th time I heard her eating the pellets I'd left on teh floor for her, I got up and she was begging for food and back to herself so I put her away and went to bed. She is completely fine again this morning but I am taking her to the vet on friday for a check up anyway, although they've said to let us know if she gets worse again in the mean time.

Re: Scare with Temperance
Vet appt was today, went well and she seems to be fine. Certainly no apparent reason for her to have stopped eating. I've been given some painkiller to give her just in case and a gut stimulant in case she stops eating again.

Re: Scare with Temperance
I'm glad to hear Temperance is back to her normal self. I do adore this little bunny, she is such a character and seems to always keep you on your toes in one way or another! Here's hoping you don't need the painkiller or the gut stimulant and that she continues to eat normally
