At what age do testicles drop on bucks

I have a buck who will be 4 months old in a week. I want to have him neutered as soon as I can, but the vet said to wait until his testicles drop. To my knowledge, they have not. At all. Are they always hairless?

It is normally about 4 months - I know this is an odd question but has he been confirmed by a vet as a boy?

Junior was neutered at 12/13 weeks, so I assume his had dropped at that point.

I have heard that buns can hold them in of sorts Perhaps they are there and he just "hides" them when you look for them?

No not confirmed by a vet. I have been scouring the internet looking for pictures of both the male/female "parts" and also testicles. I feel fairly certain that he is a male. I'm going to go check again. haha

My bun in no way has ANYTHING that looks/feels like testicles.
I JUST CAN'T BELIEVE IT! Seriously, I've looked at tons of photos and was just waiting for the testicles to drop. Oh boy. I mean girl. My daughter (10 yrs) has a BIG surprise waiting for her when she gets home.

Uffff after the youtube video, I'm not sure again. What I see is NOT a slit, it is a round hole. Definitely no testicles though. Is it possible for a bun to be both?? ha

At the risk of sounding slightly nuts, because I'm not sure if bucks have visable willies. I'm pretty sure hector has a little peen, it's just a small, furry penis-ish, shaped mound with a little opening at the top, is there anything like that there?

How old is Hector? Diesel does have the same that you're saying Hector does, but i see/read everywhere that the female genitals has a slit that extends down toward the base a little, while the male has a round hole (that yes, the penis sometimes comes out). Is Hector neutered?

Also hector is only just 12 weeks, and I'm fairly sure I'm already starting to see his testicles coming

Yes he's a mini lop, I will try and have a look tomorrow and maybe get some pictures (if hector allows it!)

this does sound odd, but when we first got Nibbler we were told he was a year old, but when he first arrived there was definitely no extra baggage down below, then one day you just couldn't miss them! He was either hiding them or I'm starting to wonder if he was a lot younger than we thought when we first got him, as when I look at the first photo's of him he does look quite young and who we got him from thought he was a girl so maybe nothing had dropped by the time we got him.. anywho, I think there was a distinct chance they were hiding..

It is notoriously difficult to sex a rabbit. This is why I have a boy named Daisy. I would ask your vets to have a look? Girls are not normally spayed til later anyway . X

He was neutered last Friday.

Sending healing vibes after his neuter

He is healing VERY well. HOWEVER, I feel like he is MORE of a boy NOW. He used to be quite calm, potty trained himself (but his poop doesn't seem to make it in the litter box very often) and hadn't had an accident until AFTER surgery, just missing the box a lot. So maybe that isn't so much a boy problem but a bunny who is a little sore and can't get it right quite yet? And maybe he is a little more squirely because I've had to keep him a bit confined so he won't jump/climb. Maybe just upset with me.
