I accidentally nicked Hector!

I was trimming his downstairs last night and I've accidentally nicked what looks to be his ball sack? Or it's in that area, it looks clean and not sore, do you think it will be ok? Is there anything I should do?

Because his fur is really long and fluffy and sometimes he gets poo caught or it starts getting a bit matted. I don't do it often.

I trim Mojo's bum too Zo. But he is neutered, so I don't know if that makes any difference to whether or not it should be done...

keep an eye on him he shoukd be ok but obviously if he looks worrying then take him to vets
i did it once to bluebell and poor girl had to have a stitch so now i never trim those areas i bathe it in luke warm water and clean her and vet helps trim for me there

Aww poor thing, I don't think it's hurting him because I'm not getting the cold shoulder and he isn't acting any differently, I will check it daily and make sure it's clean etc

As long as there's no sign of infection and its healing, he'll be fine

You've got to be really careful down there, last year the vet cut Thumper's tail while giving her a bum trim. It was like a blood bath I fainted and landed on the table beside her

Thankfully she was ok

Sorry but.... I wish i could have seen that. I think i remember you posting about it actually! I bet the vet didnt know who to see to first!

I occasionally trim Marley around his bits and bottom, i dont do it unless he has poo stuck though or its matted with something gross, otherwise i dont think its necessary. I also have some small safety scissors for children/animals with a rounded tip so your less likely to hurt them, would never do it with normal scissors, i find them too aukward to use on little bunnies.

When Zo's post reminded me about it I looked up the thread because the posts about random vet visits were so funny and I noticed it was a year ago today Doesn't feel like a year ago!!

Although, my stomach does still lurch when I think about the blood and poor Thumper's sore tail

I think i would freak out if i cut one of my buns by accident, but the site of blood doesnt bother me.

I didn't think it bothered me either but it really was like something out of a horror movie. His hands were covered in it
