Gizzy and Sparky - split up :(

We had another almighty fight last night

Humum was laying in her bedroom doorway chatting to Gizzy who was under the bed. I went into the bedroom and Gizzy bounced over towards me (Humum swears it was just to say hello and he was not being aggressive) and next thing she knew there was a roiling mass of rabbits under the bed with fur flying everywhere. She couldn't get to us but I came flying out from under the bed sideways and she got hold of me and put me on the bed. Hudad came up and poked Gizmo out and put him on the bed too. We were both stressed and panting and although we didn't go for each other again, the body language was not good

They put us back in our pen and we were ok laying near each other for an hour or so, until Humum said 'You notice they never fight in the pen?' then Gizmo moved and I went for him

Humum blocked off the upstairs of the pen and I spent the night upstairs and Gizmo downstairs. We both moped pretty much all night. When Humum let Gizmo come upstairs, I went for him again.

Humum has decided that is enough. She cannot trust us together - they're off on holiday in a few weeks and don't want the neighbours to have to pick up the pieces if we fall out. She's sure Gizmo is not as happy as he could be - he needs more space to run and play and binky than even our pen gives him, and the freedom to do so without scaring the hell out of me. And although I do like snuggling with him and he does look after me and clean my eyes and groom me, I spend too much time being stressed because he wants to be bouncy. If I was a healthy bun, Humum would be a bit more inclined to let us sort it out between ourselves but she really doesn't want me to get as poorly as I used to be again.

I'm now downstairs in a small pen in the lounge, in Jack and Layla's territory. The only reason I was confined upstairs is because destructive Gizmo needs to be. So Humum says if I can get on with my Daddy and my Step-mummy, I can have free range of the lounge with them. Layla has (obviously) had a good look at me from all angles and we've not shown any aggression to each other, just curiosity. Daddy doesn't care as long as he gets a quiet life

Humum is not quite sure what to do with Gizmo at the moment, except make sure he gets plenty off fuss and nose-rubs....

I am so sorry to hear this but sometimes despite our best efforts and the best will in the world things don't work out within bunny relationships.

Am sending nose rubs to both you and Gizmo and hope that you both find bunny love elsewhere xxx

Aww Sparky, do you want to come and live with Hector, he's very laid back, I think you'd like him

Aww, I'm so sorry to hear about your separation Sparky. Just remember though, everything your huparents do, they do it because they want you both to be happy.

I'm sorry to hear that Sparky. I was hoping your 'haircut' would help calm you.
I hope you and Layla can get along. I assume your Daddy is accustomed to you being around enough to know your scent.

We need you to stay well Sparky. Gizmo and Poppy would be a dynamic pair. I can see them choreographing simultaneous binkies down your drive.

I've been quite happy in my little pen overnight, and Jack and Layla seem completely unbothered by me being there

I know Gizmo is ok because I can hear him binkying around upstairs

It's a nice day here so when the sun comes round and warms the driveway, the Hu-parents are thinking of introducing Giz to Cindy to see how they get along. Poppy is not yet spayed so needs to stay on her own for now.

Oh Im so sorry to hear that things didnt work out with Giz Sparky.

The most important thing is your health so humum has soooo done the right thing. Im sending vibes that it all works out brilliantly in the end.

Giz and Cindy have met. It seems to have gone quite well, considering that Cindy had met two pairs and didn't like either of the girls in them. Humum thought Giz would be quite submissive but he's actually been a bit more dominant than she expected and Cindy has been surprisingly submissive. They're now back in the bottom half of Cindy's hutch, which has been scrubbed clean and the bedroom completely filled with hay to keep Gizzy warm. As it is in the hutch-shed, well sheltered and she's going to pop a couple of heat pads in overnight (plus they have not had the heating on all that much in the house) they're just going to keep an eye on Giz - he was getting quite a thick coat so he should adapt ok to being outside before it actually gets frosty.

I've been ok too - I have an Orange Cube Of Invincibility to hide in so I wasn't even bothered when Humum ran the hoover round the lounge. Jack and Layla keep staring at me though

Am sending loads of lurve vibes for Gizmo and Cindy. And what is an Orange Cube of Invincibility? Sounds intriguing - is that where you change into Superbun?

So sorry to hear you've split up Sparky! I thought you were a gorgeous couple.

Gizzy is a very bouncy, energetic bunny and he just startled me a lot and made me nervous. He is having the time of his life with permanent access to a run, and Cindy doesn't stand any nonsense from him - she has perfected one of *those* looks

Sorry to here you split up with gizmo sparky. Your nerves can have a rest now though!
