Trying another new bed for Ted and Toffee!
This time it's designed for use for dogs in cars. It's teflon coated, apparently dries quickly, can be machine washed, and isn't supposed to leak on to the floor.
Toffee seems to like it already. She is currently doing her impression of a loaf of bread on it.
Let's wait and see what they do to it.
It's proving costly, finding appropriate bedding for them...

I hope so too, we're running out of options! They need something as the room they live in can get quite cold, and I wouldn't want them on the bare laminate. They've stained the laminate through the vet bed they had. OH was NOT amused. She is talking about making them outdoor bunnies from next year, and I need to convince her otherwise.

Me neither! I don't know how I'd cope with them being outside.
I think Toffee is liking it.

Have you tried them on the oldest, tattiest towel you have? You know they would fall in love with it

I think they are more likely to fall in love with the most expensive item of clothing I own!
Wanting to try something that hay won't cling to, for the washing machine's sake! Toffee hasn't left it since I put it out for them!

Oh no, not outside when they have been inside. I hope you manage to convince her love.

Aww it's Toffee
That look's good, where's that from Sue as we are always looking for things like that for Helen and Baby Saint with them both being incontinent and they are always handy for the older buns

I got it from jollyes. It's a brand called outdoor paws. They had them in a couple of sizes.

Re: Trying another new bed for Ted and Toffee!
I do like Jollyes We're trying to use them more since they don't sell animals, and support some of the local animal charities too. Their range is somewhat limited at times though, and the hamster's favourite toy is a P@H exclusive...
Re: Trying another new bed for Ted and Toffee!
I think I can say they are happy enough with the comfort of the material:
We'll just see how things progress on the pee front.

Re: Trying another new bed for Ted and Toffee!
Well, that certainly seems like the bunny seal of approval!
I'm going to check these out next time I go near a Jollyes, my two need something in their bed now that their blanket has been chewed on and peed on to oblivion.
Three or four Jollyes I've been to near me all sell animals

Re: Trying another new bed for Ted and Toffee!
Ours don't, assumed it was a supplies-only place. Must investigate.
Re: Trying another new bed for Ted and Toffee!
I've been branches in Thetford, Kings Lynn, Norwich and Bury st Edmunds and I'm almost certain they all sell buns, pigs, rats, gerbils, hamsters, fish and sometimes even chickens. They're all in east anglia but fairly spread out, I'd be interested why yours don't sell animals though.
Has anyone else been to a Jolleys store and noticed if they do or don't?

Re: Trying another new bed for Ted and Toffee!
The Jollyes in Bolton does sell animals. It had far too many rabbits in far too small an enclosure the one and only time Humum went there and she was horrified at the prices for bunny noms and treats. She'll stick to supporting our wonderful little no-animals local pet shop, and counting our blessings that we have one

Re: Trying another new bed for Ted and Toffee!
Their website describes them as a pet food superstore, and that is what the shop says at ours. It doesn't sell animals, just animal supplies. The site doesn't mention selling animals that I can see.

They are the only place near me that sell fenugreek crunchies.
I'm out of pet shops that I know of near here, all of them sell animals.
It makes me sad.

I'm pretty stuffed for animal shops near me too. I know you can shop online but sometimes it's just lovely to get out!
