Problems with Toffee
Just lately she is being a nightmare!
She's biting whichever one of us does morning feed just about every day. Not a full bite that breaks the skin, just a sharp nip. Usually it's fingers, and I've always thought it's just misjudging where the carrot crunchie, but today she bit OH's toe!
Is there anything we can do to stop this?

Re: Problems with Toffee
My Willow does this sometimes if she's particularly hormonal, but I'm guessing that wouldn't be the cause with Toffee as she's spayed?
I just tell Willow a sharp "NO!". She normally ignores it to be honest
I'm sure someone else can help suggest something more useful though. And I may take note for future reference too!

Yeah she's spayed.
I'm going to try and find a way of not giving her treats if she does it. Unfortunately, if Ted has something and she doesn't, she'll chase after him until she grabs it.
Bunnies. Who'd have 'em?

Is her eyesight ok as sometimes food agression can be due to failing eyesight or a sight problem.

Binky likes to nibble toes either when he wants attention or he just feels like it. Let us know how you get on love.

Re: Problems with Toffee
What are the circumstances? Are you leaning into their pen with a bowl of food, or tipping food into a bowl which is already there?
I'd be inclined to change the feeding routine if possible - either put their food down out of the pen then let them at it, or put at least some of their food in a treat-ball or even just scatter feeding.

Re: Problems with Toffee
I agree on the treat ball/scatter feeding. It generally diffuses a lot of food aggression.

Re: Problems with Toffee
We get up, open the curtains, get a carrot crunchie out of the tub and give them one each, they take it from our hands. Then we sort out their hay and water. It is only this feed that causes problems.

I was given some good advice here

I haven't been bit at feeding time for a while. Now I only get the odd cheeky bite on the bum

When they boarded here I did roughly the same got up and opened the curtains and gave them both a carrot crunchie and there was no problem when it came to feed's they were both really good that's why I wondered if it was her eyesight
