Re: I'm so freaked out :(
Bunnies do have wonderful hearing so she may have heard something outside that you can't hear, maybe a fox or owl somewhere in the distance, it's usually when they do that they have heard something.

There are those that say that children (or Innocents) see further into the spiritual realm and they can see things we cannot. Something to consider I guess.

Sorry to bring things back to the mundane but I would put this down either to hearing something that makes her uncomfortable. Or some discomfort in her belly. The fact that Junior did not react makes me think the latter.

How is she - it sounds to me that something is hurting her tum. Could she have nibbles something she shouldn't?

Not at all. There's got to be an explanation for it!cheryl'n'bruce'flo wrote:Sorry to bring things back to the mundane but I would put this down either to hearing something that makes her uncomfortable. Or some discomfort in her belly. The fact that Junior did not react makes me think the latter.
She's back to usual daft Molly this morning. Having a good binky round the living room

Re: I'm so freaked out :(
I really don't think she ate anything that she shouldn't have. I did think that she had maybe picked up something me or OH had dropped, but she didn't go through to the kitchen at all last night. I was with them the the whole time and I didn't see anything out of the ordinaryKatieb wrote:How is she - it sounds to me that something is hurting her tum. OH was in a stinker mood yesterday, maybe she picked up on it before he went out

I reckon she heard Santa on the roof doing a recce. Junior didn't react because he knows he has nothing to worry about

Re: I'm so freaked out :(
She is still jumpy but nowhere near as bad as she was last night.
She will at least take us on tonight and isn't staring at things I can't see! It was so weird. When I stood in front of her last night, she'd move her head to look round me. Molly is a bunny that likes to make eye contact but there was none of that last night, she wouldn't look away from what she was focusing on, for whatever reason.
I took a few videos when she started it and its still freaky watching them now
I really hope it was a one off because it really was not nice, for her or me

Re: I'm so freaked out :(
I don't think it is anything paranormal or anything like that. She has been able to hear something that scared her. They go rigid and stare when they are concentrating and will thump to advise of danger. Often they get jittery and will crawl into a safe place and act completely out of character. Sasha has done it a couple of times and I know it does look really upsetting. It does sound like she has got over whatever was bothering her.

Molly is back to her normal cheeky, fearless self! I lost her in the house yesterday, little money did a runner but I found her eventually!!

Re: I'm so freaked out :(
What a scare! I'm glad she's back to normal.
Nibbler has acted like this a couple of times before, and literally the only thing I could put it down to that was different was that I had a lava lamp on. People thought I was odd for suggesting that but he's only done it twice (the staring and being really startled, non-stop thumping thing...he's done thumping at nothingness before but I can always calm him down so I put that down to attention, unlike the startled not wanting comfort) and both times the lava lamp has been on so it doesn't go on anymore. Y'never know, could've just been a reflection or something that startled her then she couldn't take her eyes off it in case it came back.
