I would insist the vet has another look at her teeth - if she's eaten very little hard food in the last couple of weeks there could be slight spurs again already. I'd also consider an x-ray in case there's something else going on inside but everyone is assuming it's dental. (I think Mrs D might still be with us if we had not all, including the vet, believed it was another minor GI episode Crying or Very sad ).

I'd also ask them to check the type and amount of Metacam she should have after a dental. I'm sure she was on far too low a dose before and that the cat Metacam might not have been much good anyway.

Lots of vibes for Bluebell Hugs Hugs Hugs Hugs

I agree with Sparky Rob I think Bluebell's problem is a dental issue so does Mike .

Faith and Gypsy are terrible when they get the smallest spur , Faith won't eat at all and we have to syringe feed her till she goes to the vet and Gypsy panics and drool's and ends up a right mess. I'd certainly take her back Rob and insist they look in her mouth again she could even have a loose tooth.

Sending lots of 'get well' Vibes for Bluebell xxxxxxxxxx

If you can't get her back to the vets til Tuesday rob I really really think you need to up the metacam dose, she is clearly in pain and needs some extra help.

I don't want to nag, but could you not drop her off at the vets in the morning? This has been going on for a couple of weeks now and I'd really want her looked at as soon as possible.

Oh no Sad Poor Bluebell, there is something not right with her mouth still. If you have not managed to yet then I would also give your vet a print off of the metacam doses that I posted on the other thread.

Am sending vibes for Bluebell xx

I think that's wise Rob as there is something not right for her to be up and down like this , better to let the vet check her out to be on the safe side.

Bluebell is now nomming up herbs and hay it's DEFINATELY a pain problem as the metacam should have kicked in bless her I really suspect the ulcer has not healed enough am telling vet tomorrow she needs a better dose of metacam and will ask if it's worth them contacting john c for input,
I wonder how they will take to that notion Laughing

Post by fiver Sun Jan 20, 2013 8:11 pm

there is the one that Vanessa wrote on my previous post but unfortunately my printer don't work on this computer as I've upgraded to windows 8 but can ask them to look for info and if not then I will personally go to the surgery where j.c. is and ask if they could fax info on doseage's to my vets,
I am surprised though as the vet I see seemed very up on rabbits but evidently not too up.
but an extra update is that blue had another syringe feed of c.c. and was not really troublesome she is being a good girl.
I also had a listen and heard some minor gurgles but am pleased that at least there are some.
i'm hopeing that she has not gone into stasis
