Re: Spaying question
I am assuming her teeth have been checked properly (they may need to sedate her for this). I am with Maysie, I would think sedation for teeth check and if that yields nothing then she can be xrayed whilst she is sedated. It sounds like more than lack of appetite to me. If your vet doesn't agree to that try asking if they will just prescribe some metacam and see if that improves her appetite. If it does then she will be experiencing pain from somewhere and you will have more ammunition to ask for the xrays.

Thank you everyone!
Little Flower has actually put on weight over the last two weeks!! Woohoo!!
I think feeding her a mixture of excel and SS aswell as porridge has really helped.Thank you so much for all your advice.
Teeth problems did cross my mind Cheryl'n'bruce'n'flo. The weight issue is something I'll definitely keep a close eye on and bare teeth problems in mind.
We do however have a rather embarrassing surprise... somehow, although she has been checked by the vet five times now (twice when I first got her and recent weeks) Flower is in fact a Frank...! I can't quite believe it
I feel so so stupid ! However, it would make sense why he's been circling me recently!
I'm now already panicing about bonding

Flower is now Frank, yep!
Bless Oggie, he has been so good considering there has been an entire male right next to his cage.

Re: Spaying question
Oh gosh Frank
Don't worry, I turned from a boy bun to a girl bun
At least the neuter is an easier op. I'm gladshe he is putting on weight
Are you going to try bonding him with Oggie anyway?

Re: Spaying question
At least Frank is in good company then!
I'm getting very confused myself... keep calling him a good girl... poor bunny.
I really want to try bonding them both. It will be my first boy and boy bond though so a little nervous.

Re: Spaying question
I managed a boy and boy bond and it lasted well once it was established. Both boys were neutered and had lived close by but not together so had got used to each others smell. It is a little more tense than a girl/boy bond - although with my current boy/girl pair it would be easier to bond volociraptors so you can never tell.

Oh dear!
Seriously though, it seems like it happens often! Good luck with the bond!

I'm hoping the bond will go ok - they've been next to each for months now. I think as long as Frankie submits, it should be ok. With Oggie's previous bond, he was extremely hump-y but we'll see I guess!
A little update on Frank - he's doing very well and back to eating normally Today I've put him back on hay (rather than just a little handful) as he was getting really bored and ripping all the newspaper up.
He recovered alot more quickly than Oggie when had his neuter... poor Bog, which I'd given him metacam and critical care too.
Interestingly, he's gone back to being a proper cutie and confident again. The weeks running up to his neuter he actually got quite moody and skittish which was weird as he got over that months ago, so I'm blaming that on the hormones
