Hector's moult seems to be really getting to him :(
He's been really quiet for the past couple of days, he's still eating and he adores the new hay, but he's had a smelly bum for about 4 or 5 days now. I've put him on pro-c and that seems to be helping a little, but I get the feeling that this is all related to his moult, I think maybe the fur is upsetting his tummy.
I've also found a few poo's like this:
They were attached together by that long bit, and the long bit is almost pure hair, could I give him a little fresh pineapple juice? Or a piece of fresh pineapple as I have that also. How much juice should I give?

Aww, poor Hector
My two get a tablespoon of pure pineapple juice now and then.

I gave bluebell 2x1ml syringe once a day for a couple of days if that helps but she is a big bunny

Personally I'd try him on a bit of the pineapple first - if he likes it, that's extra fibre as well as the benefit from the juice

Ok Sparky, I'll give him a little bit tonight (and I suppose I'd better eat the rest of it, you know, so it doesn't go to waste...)

We have always given our buns several tablespoons of pineapple juice as well as the pineapple tidbits. Rory won't eat the pineapple though. He won't eat ANY fruit at all.

i use the dried pineapple and papaya bits from the hay experts for Marshall as he also struggles with his moults. Just a piece a day through his heaviest moult sorts him out, plus loads and loads of brushing

Thankfully, pineapple is an all round favourite here.
