Can I have some vibes for my Pearly pig please?

As I mentioned on another thread, my piggy has been off her food and not really drinking today. At around 6.30pm I noticed her having 'mini seizures'. At this point enough was enough and we took her up to the vets...

The vet has diagnosed her with a severe UTI or possible bladder sludge/stones. She is on Baytril for the first part, in case it is just an infection. If she shows no improvement after six days it is likely to be bladder sludge or stones, in which case we would have to put her through extensive testing and then surgery. We are just not willing to do that to her, I personally don't feel it's fair at all. She is just a little piggy and they are not known to do well under GA's at all.

So basically, can I please have some hopper vibes for Pearl? Fingers crossed she DOES have a UTI and nothing more sinister, as that will mean putting her to sleep

She is in a lot of pain and screamed the consulting room down when she was examined. I felt like crying for her. First the mites and now this. What a rubbish day. Thanks guys x

I just tried to syringe her some water. She took a bit. She is not interested in any CC or eating for herself though. If she doesn't start to improve within 24/48hrs I think she is going to need to go back. She is not a well girl at all

When Humum had a horrible infection, she felt better within hours of the first of the abx - I hope they work like that for ickle Pearl

I don't think she had anything for the pain Sparky. I will ring up the vets if she is still so withdrawn tomorrow and ask for some pain relief for her.

She just took some water and CC from the syringe, and I left her nibbling on a banana chip. I know it's not much but at least it's something. I have put her to bed now but I will take some cucumber and other watery veg up for her in the morning, and leave her with lots of herbs and Readigrass etc after her syringe feed in the morning, until I can get back at 1pmish to give her some more water and CC if she needs it

We are now onto syringe feeding every 4hrs daytime and evening. She is taking the CC and I bought some Ella's Kitchen Apple and Strawberry baby food to mix in, which seems to have made it more palatable. She is getting around 4-6 of those every four hours, and I am trying to give her at least 8 1ml syringes of water each time. She is getting cucumber in abundance which she is enjoying!

She is still just sitting in her little hidey house and not eating in the cage though. Her sister won't leave her side

It is just heart wrenching to see her like this, and literally have to be forcing food and water down her I hope the anti-biotics start to kick in soon. They don't seem to be working yet.
