Wildie bun update.
Well, wildie bun is making his presence felt again. He kept a low profile after Gabriel had been running free with him but is now back to appearing several times a day. I am assuming he must be a male as both Gabe and BJ are very irritated by his presence. He has also been back to visit Hollie and Herbie. I had hoped when I was seeing less of him that he had found wildie friends but now I suspect not.
He is so very very pretty but his presence has driven Gabe into a new frenzy of digging up the 'grass' in his run and wee spraying Gabe also launches himself at the run bars in an attempt to get at the wildie. The upshot of this is that I only dare let the buns out on the grass now when they can have constant supervision. Between work, other committments and the weather the buns grass time is now going to be severely curtailed. This is such a shame as all six are at their happiest when out on the grass.
Does anybody know how quickly wildies grow. He is still very small, much smaller than Gabe and doesn't seem to have grown at all since we first noticed him. Although he looks healthy I am beginning to wonder if there is something not quite right with him. He has left a scattering of poops and as before they are very small, mishapen and black. If I saw these in one of our litter trays I would be starting to worry.

Re: Wildie bun update.
In the wild rabbit colony or Warren if there is one of them that is not well or sick other's will attack him or see him off as he will be a threat to the colony as sick rabbit will be targeted by predators and so the other rabbit's will want him away.
I wonder if your wildie is sick and has been kicked out the rabbit colony and is seeking company with your bunnies

I did wonder this too. Through the binoculars wildie looks healthy enough and is bounding around the garden but is just so very small still. Gabe is not a big bun but the size difference between him wildie is very noticeable.

I too wondered if this might not be the case. He may just be the runt of the litter but be healthy otherwise. That would truly be sad since all he wants is company. Poor little mite.

Re: Wildie bun update.
Maybe he is only part wild, which is explaining why he is hanging around and not quite sure what he should be eating to get a proper diet?
Poor little thing must be very lonely, although its not really fair on your buns either.
Im afraid im as much good as a chocolate Tpot as I have no idea what to suggest.

Is there a wildlife organisation in your area that you could call for advice?
