That boy gets into all sorts of scrapes!

His latest escapade has resulted in him having a large hole in his cornea (around 2mm across).

Please send prayers and vibes that he doesn't need eye surgery? It's touch and go, we're seeing the vet tomorrow to see how he's going.

Also, please send vibes for us getting his damn drops in his eye!

Lots of vibes for a quick and easy heal

Thanks everyone. The vet says cat eyes heal well in the main, but this is a v nasty injury, and cat claws (which have probably done it) are full of nasty germy things.

If he needs surgery, he will need a protective contact lens til it heals, as well as a collar of shame and being kept in.

Pray he heals well on his own!

I've just read that cats in a nearby part of Newcastle are being poisoned

The little sod just strutted in through the cat flap and demanded noms as if nothing had happened!

Given that he was the local stray, I'm wondering if he has other houses he frequents, and has simply spent the night there, and once the home owner has seen the flyers, they have let him out again.

I am so happy to see him I am crying again... We've never had a cat come back after being missing over 24 hours before.

Indeed! You guys might think we jumped the gun with the flyers etc, but having lost cats before we are sensitive to unusual absences, and felt that the sooner we did this the better.
