His eye seems to be healing, slowly. Very slowly. The vet still wants to resolve this without surgery, and that's what we want too. We have changed the medication he's on, and he now has some drops rather than an ointment.

He gets very distressed at the vet. He pees in the carrier every time we put him in it. As soon as the vet tries to examine him and wraps him in a towel, he kicks, swipes and snaps at her. This is a big reason behind trying to treat him non-surgically. The less intervention the better is how we feel about it for him.

He is still on house arrest, and is not happy about it. We are managing to give him his meds, but I think the dosing is a bit sketchy - some days he gets more than others I think.

Despite his unhappiness with the situation, he is still being friendly and cuddly - he just now has a fear of towels having been caught in them twice a day for over a week now! As soon as one of us heads for the shower with a towel, he heads under the bed Laughing

What a shame. It is horrible when you have to do scary things to the buns for their own good. Glad his eye is slowly getting better. I hope he makes a good recovery.

It's pretty much healed! He has the drops until Sunday, then after that, provided we think it's OK, we'll stop them. He doesn't necessarily need to go back to vet - it stresses him put so much, we're only going back if we think it's needed.

We're very relieved, it's been a very nasty injury.

That is great news. Eyes are so delicate and it always looks so hideous that you can't imagine them getting better. Hugs
